KVK Dimapur, ICAR Nagaland Centre has celebrated “National Nutrition” month in September 2024. Three programmes were conducted under the initiation of Dr. Phool Kumari, Senior Scientist cum Head, KVK Dimapur at various places to create awareness on the importance of Balanced Diet and its Impact on Overall Health under the Nutri-Sensitive Agricultural Resources and Innovations (NARI) project. The programmes were mainly focused on educating farm women, ASHA workers and children. All the lectures were led by Dr. Chingakham Sima Chanu, SMS, Home Science, KVK Dimapur followed by interaction with the participants.
        The first programme was conducted at Dhansiripar village on 6/9/2024, second programme was conducted on 27/9/2024 at Government Middle School, Jharnapani along with the students and teachers. The third programme was conducted on 30/9/2024 at life Ministry Learning Centre, Naga United Village followed by the Nutri-Thali Competition and Winners were distributed prizes for the same. All the programmes were assisted by Dr. Ebibeni Ngullie, CTO, Animal Science; Dr. Bendangla Imsong, CTO, Plant Breeding; Dr. Moanaro, Programme Assistant and Miss. Marneni Divya Sree, SMS, Agriculture Extension. All together 85 participants were given awareness.
